On February 5th, eleven adults and 23 kids gathered at the Carter County Event Center for a Puptown Wrangler 4-H meeting. The Puptown Wranglers reviewed the 4-H constitution. The death of Fallon man, Isaac Carrier, whose body was found following a fire on Jan. 23 has been ruled a homicide and two men were arrested last week on charges related to the incident. Sterling Brown was arrested in Camp Crook, S.D. on Feb. 8 and has been charged with deliberate homicide and arson. Dahl Memorial opened its doors on November 11, 2021, after a 3-day move-in period. The first few weeks were a little challenging, but staff adapted to the new environment rather quickly. Two former CCHS students recently made dean’s lists at their respective universities. Tylee M. Loehding, a 2021 CCHS graduate, was one of 4,226 students named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at North Dakota State University. On January 19, the Carter County Superintendent of Schools and Ekalaka Elementary hosted the county spelling bee and inaugural Noralla Thomas Memorial Geography Bee.
