  • Community choir to perform next weekend

    On Saturday, December 9 the local community choir will be performing at Dahl Memorial, beginning at 2 pm. The following day the choir will also be performing at the Lutheran Church at 2 pm. The choir currently has twenty-three participating voices. There will be several pieces sang along with a few specials to follow.   • FFA chapter plans dinner and dance

    The Carter County FFA Chapter will be holding their annual Indian Taco Feed on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 in the CCHS Tuggle Room. Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m., and the alumni pie auction will begin at 7:30. This year, the chapter has decided to put on a community dance, which will start shortly after the pie auction ends.   • Holiday Bazaar, area open houses next Sat.

    Vendor spaces have been filled for Sagebursh Service Club’s Annual Holiday Bazaar, scheduled for Saturday, November 18 at the CCHS gymnasium. Each year, the event provides a great opportunity for community members to purchase or win Christmas gifts. In addition, clubs and organizations will be selling raffle tickets, calendars, and other items to raise funds.     Carter County Public Health and Dahl Memorial Clinic will be hosting an influenza vaccine clinic on Saturday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Carter County High School during the annual holiday bazaar.     On Saturday, October 28, Puptown Pioneers will be hosting the Fallon/Carter County Fall homemaker council meeting.     This Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m., area residents are invited to participate in a 5k cancer walk in Camp Crook, SD. Participants may walk, bike, or run their 5k, which will start at the Camp Crook Area Community Center.   • Beaver Creek Rendezvous this weekend

    Beaver Creek Rendezvous will open up this weekend to a group of physically challenged hunters for deer season. Hunters will begin sighting in their rifles Friday in anticipation of the season opening on Saturday.     Dahl Memorial will be holding a special bylaw election meeting for all Dahl Memorial members, October 24, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Carter County Events Center.
