    Betty Vail will be in Ekalaka on March 13 to sign individuals up for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP is a federal nutrition program that helps individuals stretch their food budget and buy healthy food. SNAP benefits are given each month on a plastic, electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card.     Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association’s Annual Health Fair Blood Draw is scheduled for April 3, 4, and 5, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Carter County Events Center. Cost for the basic blood draw panel is $35, and if men want to have a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) checked, it will cost an additional $25.     Fallon and Carter County’s Annual Spray Days will be held March 14-15, 2018. The program is a collaboration of efforts between Fallon/Carter Extension and weed departments of both counties.   • Hunter safety course, March 3 - 4 in Ekalaka

    There will be a hunter safety course for area residents on March 3-4 at Carter County Events Center in Ekalaka. Students must attend both days of the course in order to receive a certificate.     On Saturday, December 9 the local community choir will be performing at Dahl Memorial, beginning at 2 pm. The following day the choir will also be performing at the Lutheran Church at 2 pm.
