    It is that time of year again for the Annual MSU Extension Winter Ag Series. The Extension Winter Series program is a cooperative effort between the region’s County Extension offices.   • Trick or Trunk on Halloween

    The parking lot of St. Elizabeth Lutheran Church in Ekalaka will be a great stop for young trick-or-treaters when Halloween arrives this year. The annual ‘Trick or Trunk’ event will feature vehicles decorated for the occasion by rural hosts, allowing children to do a great deal of trick-or-treating in a single location.   • Preschool screening set for October 23

    Ekalaka Public Schools will be hosting a preschool developmental screening on Tuesday, October 23, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the grade school gym. The screening will be for children aged 0 - 5 who are not currently in kindergarten. Children whose parents have concerns about their development, as well as children who completed the screening last year and were flagged for re-screening should attend.     Dahl Memorial Clinic and Carter County Public Health will be hosting a flu vaccine clinic on Thursday, September 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the clinic. Cost for the flu vaccine if paid at the time of service is $20; if billed to insurance the cost is $30. No appointment is necessary.
