    Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association’s Annual Health Fair blood draw is scheduled for April 16, 17 and 18, from 6 to 10 a.m. at the Carter County Events Center. The cost for the basic blood draw panel is $35. Men can have a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) checked for an additional $25. Hemoglobin A1C (diabetes) tests will be available again this year for $20. Vitamin D3 tests area available for an additional $30. As always, payment is due at the time of service.   • Spotter training for weather events slated for April 24

    The National Weather Service out of Billings will be instructing a Spotter Training Class in Alzada and Ekalaka. The National Weather Service relies on trained volunteers to supplement Doppler radar information on severe storms and severe weather. Their valuable cooperation is important in the warning process. Weather reports from trained spotters are used along with Doppler data to issue warnings of tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and flash floods.     A hunter education class is scheduled for April 26-28 at FWP Region 7 Headquarters in Miles City. This may be the last hunter education classroom course for 2019 in Miles City.     Every year Carter County Gumbo Gophers 4-H Club has a free will donation chili supper and silent auction to raise money for the Alzada Volunteer Fire Department.
