Unofficial results of the Ekalaka general election show that Elizabeth Barth and Jimmy W. Mackay were both re-elected to the town council on Tuesday night. The two defeated Jonathan Champlin and A.J. Limberger and will serve two-year terms. Barth received the most votes with 85, followed by Mackay with 79, Champlin with 55 and Limberger with 41. Lennet I. Carter County Museum will be opening its warehouses to the public during the Days of ‘85. The Town of Ekalaka plans to use over $1.6 million in combined funding to replace nearly one mile of aging water lines. Construction is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2022, according to a preliminary engineering report completed by Great West Engineering of Billings.
