    On April 30 and 31, the Carter County FFA Chapter made the trek to Big Timber, Montana to compete in the annual CDE Days competition. Kenzie Tooke, Heather LaBree, Hannah LaBree and Darin Schallenberger competed in the Food Science, Vet Science and Job Interview CDE’s. In Food Science, Heather placed 20th, Hannah placed 68th, Darin placed 70th and Kenzie rounded off the team with 75th place.   • Service Club hosts annual banquet

    On Tuesday, the senior class of Carter County High and their parents attended a banquet at the school. The banquet is organized and hosted each year by Sagebrush Service Club. Susan Tooke of the club explained that "the club took over from the Lions Club years ago," and that "they put it on to honor the senior class and bid them farewell as they leave the ranchero."     The CCHS FCCLA program held its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 25 at the high school. Youngsters (and even some of the adults who attended) had a chance to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny before searching for those not-so-easy-to-find colored eggs. Afterwards, many families headed to Ekalaka Elementary to enjoy a carnival put on by the Puptown Pioneers....

    December, 2017 - December 1st fell on a Friday and the morning activity was group exercise lead by Virginia Rychner. Group exercises are scheduled three times a week with very good participation.     A cold rain on Sunday forced the annual Easter egg hunt, sponsored by CCHS FCCLA, to be held inside the high school.
