    In the Fall of 2017, the superintendent of Ekalaka Public Schools asked for an energy audit of the new elementary building and the high school. Chad Reisenauer from Basin Electric traveled to Ekalaka and was glad to see LED lighting in the new building. While at the school, he noticed that the gym lights had been changed to LED.     Over 75 members attended the Dahl Memorial Healthcare Annual Member Meeting last Thursday at Carter County Events Center. Around 90 attended in 2017 while only 45 turned out in 2016.     The Ekalaka Public Schools Board of Trustees approved the FY 2019 Budgets for both the Carter County High School and the Ekalaka Elementary School. Mills went from 22.75 in the FY 2018 Elementary District budget to 21.59 in FY 2019 budget. In the High School District mills dropped from 12.80 for FY 2018 to 12.17 in FY 2019.
