Approximately 400-500 lbs of food per month goes out. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Dahl Memorial Healthcare facility was held on September 6. Since then, Ekalaka has received 5.34 inches of moisture, and several inches of snow. Mid-Rivers Communications has been awarded a zero-interest Rural Economic Development Loan (REDL) from USDA Rural Development on behalf of Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association in Ekalaka. Dahl Memorial Healthcare’s ice bucket challenge will be coming to a close on Sunday, August 11 following the Days of ‘85 parade. The challenge was started at the beginning of July by employees in order to raise funds to build a walking path around the block of the new facility.
