    The Carter County Chamber of Commerce plans to print their calendar early this year, to catch Labor Day visitors and early hunters. If local photographers have pictures from this year and more from last year, they need them. This summer’s branding season must have been photographed by someone.   • Fourth of July bash

    The Carter County Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring a Fourth of July bash on Main Street in Ekalaka on Tuesday, July 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. At dusk, there will be a fireworks display for all to enjoy. The bash on main will include an array of games and activities that are fun for the entire family.   • A good parade needs a band

    Donations are being sought after in order to bring the Belle Fourche Cowboy Band to this year’s Days of ‘85 parade. Those who would like to see the band again may send donations of any size to an account set up at Summit National Bank, P.O. Box 45, Ekalaka, MT 59324. The parade is scheduled for Sunday, August 13 at 11 am. Donations will cover the band’s honorarium and travel expenses to Ekalaka.     Local photographers have been very faithful in answering pleas for horizontal winter pictures for the 2018 Chamber of Commerce calendar, but the season has changed and now the need arises for spring pictures. This year the chamber is trying to combine rural pictures of landscape with animals. Because spring is the season of rebirth, little calves, lambs, or foals would be perfect subjects to show.
