Carter County Museum's 9th Annual Dino Shindig was well attended this year as the event continues to be one of the more anticipated summer events in Ekalaka. This year, forty-three volunteers worked a total of 850 hours to make the Shindig possible. Area military veterans are invited to ride on the veterans float in the Days of ‘85 parade, Sunday, August 15. Carter County Museum will be opening its warehouses to the public during the Days of ‘85. The warehouses, located just south of town on Hwy 323, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. on Saturday, August 14. Warehouse 1 includes over 80 percent of museum fossils and some historical artifacts that are not on display in the museum. Plans for the Days of ‘85 are continuing as the event draws nearer. The annual fair and rodeo is slated for August 12th through August 15th this year.
