    CCHS defeated Plevna in three straight sets to win their homecoming volleyball match last Saturday in Ekalaka. The Lady Bulldogs won 25-11, 25-14 and 25-12. Plevna struggled to return serves as Blue compiled 29 aces. Zoie Rost led the way with 8 of them. Meanwhile, Plevna was held without an ace throughout the entirety of the match.     Carol (Peabody) Spencer is in her first year teaching in her hometown. The 2009 Carter County High School graduate said that her and her husband, Rusty, made the decision to move back to Ekalaka to be closer to her family ranch and because they wanted to be a part of the community.     CCHS Homecoming is right around the corner, with events scheduled to kick off on Monday, September 13. This year the Carter County High School Bulldogs will play football against the Wildcats of Plentywood. The game is currently scheduled for Friday, September 17 at 7 p.m., but could possibly be changed to Saturday due to a shortage of MHSA officials.     Concrete is being poured this week outside the new connecting wing at Ekalaka Public Schools. The project is now in its final stages. Aside from the exterior concrete, the new building still needs glass for one interior window as well as two exterior doors.
