    Readers of the Eagle may have recently noticed an ad in the paper seeking local ranchers who are willing to donate beef to Ekalaka Public Schools for the lunch program. On December 20th, the first beef donation was dropped off at the school by Abbey Bruski of Beaver Creek Homegrown.     Carter County High School and Ekalaka Elementary music departments will host a Christmas concert on Thursday, December 16th. The concert is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. inside the CCHS gym.     A Veterans Day program took place at Carter County High School on November 11. Several local veterans were in attendance. Six were 'adopted' by different Ekalaka Public Schools classes. Each class made posters for their veterans based off of interviews with them.     Carter County High School defeated Broadus by twenty-six points in their final game of the football season on Saturday. The game took place in Broadus and featured the fourth place team from each of the Montana 8-Man Eastern Conference's sub-divisions. On the Bulldogs' first possession, senior quarterback Turner Tooke turned a broken play into a long touchdown run. After that play, the game was never in doubt.     CCHS defeated Plevna in three straight sets to win their homecoming volleyball match last Saturday in Ekalaka. The Lady Bulldogs won 25-11, 25-14 and 25-12.     Carol (Peabody) Spencer is in her first year teaching in her hometown. The 2009 Carter County High School graduate said that her and her husband, Rusty, made the decision to move back to Ekalaka to be closer to her family ranch and because they wanted to be a part of the community. This year the Carter County High School Bulldogs will play football against the Wildcats of Plentywood.
