The Carter County 4-H Shooting Stars hosted their seventh Annual Invitational Shoot on February 1st at the Fallon County Indoor Shooting Range and Fallon County Exhibit Hall. There were ninety-four 4-H youth from Carter, Custer, Fallon, Powder River, Rosebud/Treasure, Stillwater and Wibaux Counties that participated. Carter County 4-H Ambassadors recently worked to encourage students to be safe during the Halloween season. Ambassadors plan and put on a safety program annually, prior to Halloween. The Fallon/Carter County Extension Office has scheduled sausage making workshops for Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19. Kylan Klauzer, a Carter County native who attended school in Baker, will speak at this year's Positive Choices Youth Conference on October 29th and 30th. Klauzer was born and raised in southeastern Montana. He graduated from Baker High School in 2002 and went on to attend Dickinson State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree and eventually a Master's Degree in Public Administrations. Michael Millward officially started work as the new Fallon and Carter County Extension agent on September 3. Millward grew up in the small town of Bicknell in south central Utah.
