White, 83, of Roseville, Ohio, formerly of Ekalaka, passed away, March 4, 2017 at Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care - The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio following a lingering illness. Warren, the son of Everett O. and Marion C. (Bendure) White, was born 16 June 1933, in Zanesville, Ohio. He graduated Zanesville High School in 1951, attended Colorado A. & M. until 1953, when he was drafted into the US Army where he served active duty with the Military Police until 1956, when he transferred to the US Army Reserve...

    For the second year in a row, Carter County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Fourth of July Bash on Main Street in Ekalaka. Chamber members encouraged local businesses and residents to set up booths and carnival games for kids and adults alike.     The Carter County Chamber of Commerce plans to print their calendar early this year, to catch Labor Day visitors and early hunters. If local photographers have pictures from this year and more from last year, they need them. This summer’s branding season must have been photographed by someone.   • Fourth of July bash

    The Carter County Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring a Fourth of July bash on Main Street in Ekalaka on Tuesday, July 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. At dusk, there will be a fireworks display for all to enjoy. The bash on main will include an array of games and activities that are fun for the entire family.     Donations are being sought after in order to bring the Belle Fourche Cowboy Band to this year’s Days of ‘85 parade. Those who would like to see the band again may send donations of any size to an account set up at Summit National Bank, P.O. Box 45, Ekalaka, MT 59324. The parade is scheduled for Sunday, August 13 at 11 am. Donations will cover the band’s honorarium and travel expenses to Ekalaka.     The Carter County Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring a community wide yard sale. This year it will take place on Saturday, June 3. Locals interested in participating in the yard sale have until May 28 to sign up. Sign up sheets are available at Ekalaka Town Office, Community First Federal Credit Union, and Mainstreet Market.
