Carter County High School fall sports start this Friday, August 12th. The first football practice will be at 7 a.m. on Friday morning. Greg and Susan Tooke moved to Ekalaka in 1976. With a degree in veterinary medicine, Greg had always wanted to return home to set up a vet clinic. Susan was dubious but was in lust at the time, and would go anywhere as long as it was with Greg. They have been together 53 years! Ron was born in Ekalaka, MT on May 9, 1932. He passed away on July 20, 2022 in Dallas, TX due to a stroke, exacerbated by Alzheimer's. Richard Delano "Dick" Peterson passed away peacefully in his sleep on his ninth day in Hospice at Holy Rosary Residential Living. Dick was born in Mill Iron, MT at the family homestead on January 15th, 1934. He was the youngest child of Louis O. and Anna M. (Hodson) Peterson.
