On May 6 and 7, the Carter County FFA Chapter traveled to Great Falls to compete in the Montana CDE Days competition held at the MSU Great Falls campus. Funeral services for Areatha Penn, 89, of Ekalaka, were held May 15 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka with Pastor Scott Kiehn officiating. Burial followed at Beaverlodge Cemetery.
