Heaven gained an angel last week when my friend, Linda Story, lost her battle with cancer. Her obituary is so beautiful, I want to share it, but I also had to write a little tribute to her, because she was such an amazing woman. Ride On Ahead Thirty years ago, Steve and Linda hired on to run the Hobble Diamond across the Yellowstone. They left their home in Colorado to run the place flawlessly and tirelessly as if it were their own. Linda worked with Steve as a team, and they...

Eight hands-on contests, four general sessions, career conversation seminars, a career panel, various workshops, and the company of special guests Artha Jonassaint, 202...
Welcome to week 6 from the 67th session of the Montana House of Representatives. One of the highlights of the week to be sure was Governor Gianforte’s long awaited lifting of the statewide mask mandate. Now it is up to local officials to follow suit and get Montana back to work, back to school and back to normal. Along that line, Senate Bill 67 passed 2nd reading in the House today by a 71-29 margin. This bill eliminates the potential misdemeanor penalty in the law if local l...

Dear Editor, Beef born, bred, fed and processed in the US is considered the best in the world. Married to a Rosebud County rancher for the past 40 years, I know we take pride in raising a first class fine and healthy herd of cow/calf pairs. You can taste the difference between beef raised and butchered right here in America (especially Montana!) from meat processed and shipped from 3000-plus miles away coming from foreign countries--who knows where and what kind of safety standards are in place. As cattle producers you would...
