    Carter County High School defeated Broadus by twenty-six points in their final game of the football season on Saturday. The game took place in Broadus and featured the fourth place team from each of the Montana 8-Man Eastern Conference's sub-divisions. On the Bulldogs' first possession, senior quarterback Turner Tooke turned a broken play into a long touchdown run. After that play, the game was never in doubt.     Last Thursday CCHS Volleyball fell to Jordan in four sets, 16-25, 21-25, 28-26 and 17-25. As a team, the Lady Bulldogs had 9 aces, 36 kills, 4 blocks, 43 digs and 31 assists in the match. Greta Barrett led in aces with 5. Heidi LaBree had 12 kills and Katie Tooke had 3 of the team's 4 blocks. Zoie Rost led in digs with 9 and Carly Aho led in assists with 21.     Montana’s two-day, youth-only deer hunt is coming up October 21 and 22, and general deer season opens October 23. Now is a good time to consider signing up for the Apprentice Hunter program. The Apprentice Hunter law allows people ages 10 and older to hunt as apprentices with a mentor for two seasons without completing a Hunter Education course.
