CCHS Volleyball picked up a pair of wins versus conference opponents at home last week. On Thursday, they defeated Wibaux in three sets, and they downed Plevna in three on Saturday. Against Wibaux, CCHS won 25-11, 25-14 and 25-17. Carly Aho had 14 of Lady Blue's 20 assists in the contest. Codi Melton tied with Kendall Kittelmann to lead the team in digs (6). The Dawson College Foundation was recently blown away when it received a nearly $1.8 million endowment, the largest donation ever received by the foundation to date, from a family dedicated to bolstering education in Eastern Montana. The Alzada Community Club is busy planning it's next event, the Harvest Jubilee, which will be held at the Alzada Community Hall on Saturday, October 1st. Beginning at 4 p.m., attendees are invited to enjoy playing cornhole and horseshoes outside the hall, weather permitting. At 6 p.m. there will be a free-will donation potluck. Elijah Lee Harkins, beloved son, grandson, nephew and brother, has immigrated to his heavenly homeland, going "further up and further in".
