    Area military veterans are invited to ride on the veterans float in the Days of ‘85 parade, Sunday, August 12. Those wanting to ride on the float are asked to gather at the Carter County Museum at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.     During this year's Days of '85 celebration, the CCHS Class of 1958 will be celebrating their 60th reunion. The top photo shows the class in first grade, during the 1946-47 school year. The photo below shows the class in third grade, 1948-49. Between first and third grade, the class decreased in size from 28 to 20 students. Can you name 'em?     MontanaPBS will host U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives candidate debates this fall. Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester and Republican Montana Auditor Matt Rosendale will discuss issues in Missoula as they face off for a seat in the U.S. Senate on Saturday, Sept. 29. Republican incumbent Rep. Greg Gianforte will debate Democratic challenger Kathleen Williams on Saturday, Oct. 6, in Bozeman.     One of the things that I enjoyed the most while growing up and going to school in Ekalaka was engaging in snowball fights. New snow did not hold together well enough to make a snowball so you had to wait for awhile. Of course, you couldn't walk on new snow either, but had to wait until it hardened.     Diana Roby of Casper, Wyoming and some friends will be selling various crafts, sweet and salty snacks, beverages and $1 raffle tickets for a beautiful red, white and blue fireworks and United States flag themed lap quilt throughout the Days of ‘85 in Ekalaka this weekend.
