    June 10, 2024 There was a tiny shower of rain near Tie Creek on Sunday morning. The multitude of grasshoppers at least calmed down a little, and the morning was very cool. Last week, Ronda Cordell took time out to go to the Quilt Show in Buffalo. There were many outstanding quilted items filling the Rec Center, and a good lunch, also.     Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has issued a Decision Notice to proceed with a Prairie Dog Conservation Contract in Garfield and Rosebud County, Mont., eight miles north of Ingomar. The contract will conserve, protect, and enhance approximately 2,975 acres of important prairie dog colonies and associated habitat for 10 years, beginning July 2024 and continuing through July 2034.     Ekalaka Bible Church will be hosting vacation bible school beginning Friday, June 28th, continuing each Friday through the end of July.     The 2024 Summit Basketball Camp will take place at Carter County High School in Ekalaka on Monday, June 17th and Tuesday, June 18th this year.
