    Music students in grades K-12 at Ekalaka Public Schools performed at a spring concert May 6th. The students performed a variety of music they had practiced throughout the year to showcase their skills. Selections ranged from Halloween to Christmas music to "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and even some Beethoven.     The public is invited to attend the Carter County High School FFA chapter’s annual banquet on Tuesday, May 18th, 6 p.m., at the CCHS Tuggle Room. A supper will be served prior to a presentation by keynote speaker Dave Kirschten and remarks from 2020-21 State FFA Officer Gracie Tooke.     Sign-up forms for the annual Carter County Chamber of Commerce Community Wide Garage Sale are currently available online and at the town office. The event is slated for Saturday, June 5. Sellers need to sign up and pay a $10 fee by May 26 in order to get on the map. Sign up sheets have a place to write name, street address, items for sale and a phone number.     Howard Duane Fix passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Haxtun Health Extended Care Unit at the age of 84. He was born September 22, 1936 in Sterling to Adolph Elmer and Ruby Lillian (Cunningham) Fix. Howard grew up in Haxtun and graduated from Sterling High School.
