The CCHS Lady Bulldogs handed the Lady Eagles a 36-point loss last Friday night in Northern Cheyenne. Since I am not as familiar with the great athletes in all of Carter County, I will focus on the great athletes that were born or raised in the Tie Creek area of the county. The Carter County 4-H Shooting Stars hosted their seventh Annual Invitational Shoot on February 1st at the Fallon County Indoor Shooting Range and Fallon County Exhibit Hall. As the current license year is winding down, hunters and anglers can look for a few immediate changes for the coming year. The new license year starts on March 1st, which means that is the day you can buy your 2020 hunting and fishing licenses and begin applying for permits and special licenses. Rose Ann Turbiville was born on March 24, 1934 to William C. and Ruby (Johnson) Rowley in Ekalaka. Rose left this world to continue her journey in Heaven on February 9, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She grew up in Ekalaka where she graduated as valedictorian of the class of 1952. She then attended MTSU. She married Dick Turbiville in 1953 and they lived in Billings, where Don and Ann were born.
