The Gumbo Gophers 4-H Club held their June meeting on the 11th at the Alzada Hall. Market sheep and goat weigh-ins were held before the meeting. Members set the date for lake day on July 21st at Orman Dam. They also set the date for the Fireman’s BBQ on August 2 at 6 p.m. at the Alzada Hall. The Gumbo Gophers 4-H club had their April meeting at Sharon Higgins house on the 22nd. Sharon taught us to make tea rings. The Gumbo Gophers 4-H Club had a fun winter. We had a meeting in December at Alzada. We played a white elephant gift exchange game after our meeting, then we filled gift baskets and went caroling.
